The Legendary Starfy (known in Japan as Densetsu no Stafy: Taiketsu! Dire Kaizokudan, which translates as The Legend of Stafy: Pirate Gang Confrontation!) is a platforming adventure game that was released for the Nintendo DS in 2008. It is the fifth game of the series, following Densetsu no Stafy 4, and it is the first game in the series to be released outside of Japan and localized in English. It has also been the last game of the series to date.

Story[edit]

Bunston, a rabbit in a space suit, is being chased by the Dire Pirate Squad, who want a jewel that is in his poession. Starfy and his sister, Starly, search for Bunston and try to stop the Dire Pirate Squad.

Gameplay[edit]

In this installment of the series, Starfy gets transformed by touching Bunston. Among his costumes are a ghost, a dragon, a chicken, and a seal.

Another new feature in this game is that in this game, a second player can play as Starly. Other features include five different minigames and the ability to share boss battle records over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
