'''The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D''' is a 3D remake of the critically acclaimed [[Nintendo 64]] game ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time]]'' that was made for the [[3DS]]. It is also notable as the first major Nintendo game to released for the 3DS.

=Plot=

The game follows [[Link]], a child raised by the [[Kokiri]] tribe, as he sets out into the larger world of [[Hyrule]] for the first time and meets [[Princess Zelda]]. He is caught up in a quest to save Hyrule from the plots of [[Ganondorf]] by collecting Three Spiritual Stones in order to beat Ganondorf to the mythical [[Triforce]]. When things do not go as planned, Link winds up seven years in the future, having to gather six sages from different temples in order to put an end to Ganondorf's reign, with his loyal fairy sidekick [[Navi]] by his side as he copes with all of Hyrule's changes.

=Information=

The primary change is the enhancement of the graphics, including the application of 3D. The touch screen also is used to improve the interface by making it easier to equip items, as two items can be assigned to buttons while two more can be assigned to touch screen buttons. The ocarina is also controlled through the touch pad, and the 3DS itself can be moved to adjust camera angles. The game also has a hint system which is a successor of the Super Guide from ''[[New Super Mario Bros. Wii]]'', and the unlockable hints are referred to as Visions.

This remake not only contains the original game, but it also contains the ''Master Quest'' that was made for a previous port of the game. The ''Master Quest'' can only be unlocked as an optional game by beating the main game once. ''Master Quest'' is itself enhanced with new features to make it harder, such as the world being mirrored and enemies causing more damage. Both modes also have a unique new Boss Challenge feature which allows the player to re-challenge any boss that has already beaten by resting in Link's bed at the Kokiri Forest. The harder Boss Rush battle, in which the player must go through all the bosses in a row, can also be unlocked.

Aside from those changes, most of the other differences are in the form of minor easter eggs hidden throughout the game, including pieces of promotional artwork for ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword|Skyward Sword]]''.

=Legacy=

''[[The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask|Majora's Mask]]'', the sequel to ''Ocarina of Time'', was later announced to receive its own [[3DS]] [[The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D|remake]].
