Tetris is a puzzle game originally created by Russian mathematician Alexy Pajitnov.
Gameplay
In Tetris, players are given tetrominoes of several different varieties. The player must arrange them to make a solid line. Each time a line is completed, that row disappears. The player can keep playing as long as the tetominoes keep falling.

Tetris 2 was released for the Gameboy and NES in 1993.
Ports and Remakes
- In 1986, Spectrum Holobyte published Tetris on the PC.
- In 1987, Andromeda published Tetris for IBM PC and other home computers. Mirrorsoft published a version for the MSX. Tengen publishes a version for Nintendo's arcade Vs. system.
- In 1988, Nintendo published Tetris for the Gameboy and NES.
- In Europe, the NES version of Tetris was later put of a multipack with Super Mario Bros. and Nintendo World Cup.
- Also, in 1989, Spectrum Holobyte published an Apple II version and Mirrorsoft published Tetris for the Commodore 64. Atari and SEGA publish arcade versions.
- In 1989, Tengen published an unlicensed version of Tetris for the NES.
- In 1992, Phillips published Tetris for the Phillips CD-i.
- In 1994, Tetris was part of the game Tetris & Dr. Mario.
- In 2002, _No Company published Tetris for the WonderSwan Color.
