How much the flower opens depends on the temperature, so this Pokémon is often used as a thermometer. They spread their petals to absorb sunlight and usually float into the air to get closer to the sun. When it rains, Skiploom closes its bloom and will seek shelter in the shade of a tree to keep from getting wet.
