It also regulates its own body temperature by basking in sunlight.

-*In the Pokémon anime, Sceptile was first shown during the Ever Grande Conference at the end of the Hoenn series as one of Tyson's Pokémon. During the Battle Frontier series, Ash's Grovyle evolved into a Sceptile while trying to save a [[Meganium]] that it had a crush on from [[Team Rocket]]. Sceptile's feelings being unrequited left it too paralyzed to actually fight for several episodes, but it finally regained its fighting spirit in time to help in the fight with [[Spenser]].
