Roserade is a dancing plant-like Pokémon that was introduced in the fourth generation games. It was introduced as the new evolved form of the third generation Pokémon Roselia, and the addition of the baby form Budew makes Roserade the third and final form in Budew's evolutionary line.

Roserade evolves from a Roselia that is exposed to a Shiny Stone. It uses its sweet aroma to attract prey and then uses  thorny whips hidden in its arms to attack it. These whips are densely lined with poison thorns, and they usually use the whips in the manner of a dancer. Roserade's hands each contain different toxins, while both hands can jab with near-fatal power. Roserade also spews poison at its prey which is as toxic as its aroma is sweet.

*In the Pokémon anime, Roserade was first featured during the Sinnoh series as one of Forsythia's Pokémon, and was a shy Pokémon that protected her garden from Team Rocket. It was also the final Pokémon that Gardenia used for her battle with Ash, but his Aipom was able to defeat it. Drew and Nando's Roselia also both eventually evolved into Roserade within the series. A Roserade was also featured as one of Barry's Pokémon. They have also made several minor appearances.

*In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Roserade was featured as one of Gardenia's Pokémon during her gym battle with Platina in the Diamond/Pearl arc. The Roserade had the advantage with its long-ranged grass attacks until her Prinplup was able to beat it with Blizzard.

Trivia
*Its name was a combination of "rose" and "masquerade" (likely due to its mask-like face).
