'''Roselia''' is a thorn-covered plant-like Pokémon that was introduced in the third generation games. It had no evolutionary line until the fourth generation, when [[Budew]] was introduced as its baby form and [[Roserade]] as its new evolved form. This retroactively makes Roselia into the middle form of Budew's evolutionary line.

Roselia has a pair of beautiful flowers on its hands. It releases a relaxing fragrance which brings serenity to all living things. The scent is more pleasant depending on how healthy the Roselia is. However, Roselia's flowers also have toxic thorns, which it will shoot out to protect its flowers from anyone who would want to steal them. Roselia that drink nutritionally rich spingwater usually bloom with rare and vivid colors.

A Roselia or Roserade parent will only produce an egg containing a Budew (as opposed to a Roselia) if the parent is holding a Rose Incense while breeding. Budew evolves into Roselia when it levels up with a high amount of happiness. In turn, Roselia evolves into Roserade when exposed to a Shiny Stone.
