'''Registeel''' is a legendary metallic Pokémon that was introduced in the third generation games. It forms a trio of legendary Pokémon with [[Regirock]] and [[Regice]], and the three of them can usually be found only by following specific instructions. The fourth generation later introduced [[Regigigas]] as their fourth member (and likely creator).

=Information=

Regigigas apparently created the three Regi- Pokémon as duplicates of itself. Registeel was made from magma and is said to have been tempered underground by pressure over thousands of years. The three Regis were later sealed away by ancient people (specifically the ancient people of [[Hoenn]]) because they feared "it". Registeel's body is apparently hollow, and it is made of a dense metal that has not been identified and does not seem to originate from this earth. Registeel's body is harder than any other metal and cannot be scratched, and it can also shrink and stretch flexibly. This Pokémon's diet is another mystery.

In ''[[Pokémon: Ruby and Sapphire Versions|Pokémon: Ruby, Sapphire]]'' and ''[[Pokémon: Emerald Version|Emerald Versions]]'', Registeel could be found in the Ancient Tomb, but it could only be reached after the player unsealed all of the Regis by bringing a [[Relicanth]] and [[Wailord]] to the Sealed Chamber. The door to Registeel's chamber was opened by using Fly (in ''Ruby''/''Sapphire'') or Flash (in ''Emerald'') in the cave. In ''[[Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl Versions|Diamond, Pearl]]'' and ''[[Pokémon: Platinum Version|Platinum]]'', it could appear in the Iron Ruins found at Iron Island, but only if the player had an event [[Regigigas]] in the party. Registeel appeared from the wall after solving a puzzle based on the symbols on its head, and it could be battled multiple times as long as the player had the Regigigas until the Registeel was captured.

In ''[[Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire]]'', it was found at the Ruins. In ''[[Pokémon Trozei!]]'', Registeel was found through Random Agent Cards and Mr. Who's Den. In ''[[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red and Blue Rescue Teams]]'', it was a boss at the thirty-fifth floor of the Buried Relic. In ''[[Pokémon Ranger]]'', it appeared at Krokka Tunnel. In ''[[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness]]'', it was found in the Aegis Cave's steel chamber as a boss. In ''[[Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia]]'', it appeared at the Chroma Ruins.

*In the Pokémon anime, the Regis were first featured in the ninth movie, where they were the guardians of the Tree of Beginning. They have also been featured in several episodes of the Battle Frontier and Sinnoh series, where all three of them comprise [[Brandon]]'s main team.
*In the ''Pokémon Adventures'' manga, the Regis were featured near the end of the ''Ruby''/''Sapphire'' arc when [[Steven Stone]] worked with the Elite Four to awaken them in an attempt to calm down [[Kyogre]] and [[Groudon]] during their big battle. Steven controlled Registeel himself with [[Wallace]], and the strain of controlling it apparently caused his death, although this was soon undone by [[Celebi]]. The Regis were left disoriented and weakened in the mountains afterwards, where they were captured by Brandon. They were his main Pokémon during the ''Emerald'' arc.
