Pokémon Battle Revolution was the 3D incarnation of Pokémon on the Gamecube. It was the first game to make use of the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection in America and Japan as well as being the first game to wirelessly interact with the Nintendo DS.
Gameplay
In Pokémon Battle Revolution, the game focuses solely on battling Pokémon rather than both capturing and battling. In single player, the player goes around to different Colosseums to battle trainers. There's also Free Battle for single players that lets the player quickly jump into the action for a single battle. The player can also play against other players using the Wii's online functionality.
The player can choose to either import Pokémon from their copy of Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl versions or choose rental Pokémon. As the player progresses, they can earn Pokémon, TMs, and items that can be transfered back to the DS games.
