Oil Panic is a Game & Watch game. It's part of the "Multi Screen" series.

Information[edit]

In Oil Panic, the player controls a man catching leaking oil. When the buckets is full, the player must pour it into a bucket held by the guy below you. A life is lost if the player misses a drop of oil, tries to catch oil with a full bucket, or tosses oil on a customer. Game A is an easier game, while Game B requires more skill and coordination.

Legacy[edit]

One of Mr. Game & Watch's moves are based on Oil Panic. The Flat Zone level is also partially based on Oil Panic.

Ports and Remakes[edit]

  • In 1998 Oil Panic was released as part of Toymax's Mini-Classics series.
  • Oil Panic was one of the games included in Game & Watch Gallery. The game includes a "Modern" version. In the Modern version, it is Bowser who drops the oil. The player controls Mario, who must catch the oil and drop it to Yoshi.
  • The "classic" Oil Panic was included in the Game & Watch Collection.
