Nuzleaf evolves from Seedot at Level 14. They live in densely overgrown forests and are skilled in climbing trees. Nuzleaf usually live in holes bored into large trees. It sometimes ventures out of the forest to startle others. A Nuzleaf's weak point is apparently its nose, as it is said to lose its power if its nose is pinched, which annoys it. Nuzleaf can remove the leaf on its head and make it into a flute. The sound of its flute makes makes others uneasy and fills them with dread.

It evolves into Shiftry when exposed to a Leaf Stone.

*In the Pokémon anime, one episode of the Hoenn series featured the group getting lost in a forest filled with Nuzleaf which played tricks on them. Another episode showed several Nuzleaf living in a tree with Seedot and Shiftry, and one of the Nuzleaf required attention from Nurse Joy. One episode of the Sinnoh series featured a colony of Seedot and Nuzleaf, and a trainer at [[Gardenia]]'s Eterna Gym also owned one and sent it as a messenger to her.

*In the ''Pokémon Adventures'' manga, one chapter of the ''Ruby''/''Sapphire'' arc featured a Nuzleaf angrily leading various wild Pokémon against Ruby's Pokémon. Ruby's [[Mudkip]] battled the Nuzleaf and got it to retreat by pinching its nose.

=Trivia=

*Its name seems to be a combination of a play on "nose" (or possibly "nuzzle", which is an action usually undertaken using noses) with "leaf".
