The Nintendo Power cartridge system (not to be confused with the official American Nintendo magazine, Nintendo Power) was a Japanese service that allowed people to download games onto blank Super Nintendo or Gameboy cartridges. The service lasted from 1997 to 2007 and was available at a Japanese chain of convenience stored called Loppis. Some Nintendo games were only available as Nintendo Power downloads while others were also available as a cartridge.
