'''Mike Anderson''' is the protagonist of both ''[[Battle Clash]]'' and ''[[Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge]]''. He is the pilot of the ST Falcon.

=Background=

Mike's father was a former Standing Tank (ST) pilot that was killed by [[Anubis]] in the Battle Game. As a result of the loss, Mike became a third class citizen under the thumb of all the various Battle Game chiefs. Craving revenge, Mike dedicated his life to studying about STs from their weapons, mechanical workings, and defensive systems. All the while Anubis continued to gain prominence until at last Mike had prepared the ST Falcon for battle. In doing so he made the unusual choice of adding a gunner (the player) for the weapons system while Mike himself controlled the movements. This was considered an unusual choice as it required excellent team work between the pilot and the gunner.

He wasted no time in challenging the Chief of North America, [[Guido]]. He was able to score his first victory there. He moved on to challenge the Chief of Africa, [[Ikhnaton]]; the Chief of Europe, [[Lorca]], and the Chief of Asia, [[Alfred]].  In his battles with the South America Chief [[Tasha]] and Oceania Chief [[Antonov]], they learned that he had no desire for power, but for defeating Anubis, a cause they supported. After the chiefs had all been defeated, Mike earned the right to challenge Anubis, but only after he could scale the Tower of Babel.

At the base of the tower he challenged [[Eddie]], who after the battle regained control of himself from the mind control he had been under. Mike then challenged [[Carlos]], a mysterious masked man who scoffed at the idea of a ST having a gunner and a pilot rather than just a single pilot. After Eddie's defeat, Mike arrived to challenge Anubis, the pilot of the ST Thanatos. At first Mike was able to score a victory over Anubis, though not without taking damage himself. However Anubis soon revealed the true form of the Thanatos, a far larger and deadlier ST than Mike had anticipated. Before the battle could continue; Tasha, Antonov, and Eddie arrived to help Mike out by restoring his energy, since they didn't have STs to actually use. Thanks to this, Mike was able to finish Thanatos off and restore peace to the world.

For three years the world returned to an age of prosperity and many of the old ruined cities began to be rebuilt. During that time, Mike spent his time at his base in southwestern North America where he was often seen in thecompany of [[Carol Eugene]] and [[Rola]]. However one day, Anubis returned just as suddenly as he had returned. Before going into action again, Mike trained a new gunner with the help of Rola. Once training was completed, Mike set off to defeat the new Chiefs who had rallied under Anubis. The first was his old foe Guido who had resumed his rule from New York City. He was quickly dethroned and Mike took the fight to Oceania where Guido's brother, [[Chada]] had taken over. The only remaining chief was [[Dayan]], who had only become a Chief to protect Mongolia. 

With the chiefs defeated, Mike continued on to the Lunar Base, engaging in a fight with [[Orusoh]] in a massive freefall battle. Though Mike won, it was only by the help of a mysterious alien woman (who was in fact Rola in her true form) that he was able to keep from crashing to the ground. He continued on and fought another battle against Carlos, who had been spoiling for a fight and rejoined Anubis only for a shot at revenge. At the Lunar Base, Mike defeated Anubis again. But he soon found himself up against a new enemy, a race of Eltorians of the same race as the mysterious woman that saved him.

He discovered that Anubis was merely the front for an invasion force by the Eltorians who intended to make Earth their home. Mike was forced to face the Eltorians [[Danpe]], [[Zephyr]], and [[Pamela]] before he finally reached the Eltoria, the base ship for the aliens. There he was shocked to find Anubis, who revealed that Mike had only defeated two of his clones who were far less powerful than he. After Mike defeated his first form, Rola arrived to revitalize the ST Falcon. However it was not yet over, as the creator of Anubis emerged - an Eltorian named Typhoon who was the master of the race and had placed himself in cryogenic hibernation until Earth was conquered.  

Mike engaged Typhon's ST Giga-Desp in the dark confines of the Estoria. Although victorious, Typhon transformed his ST into its true form, while also capturing Rola (who was in her ST) and confining her in a position to protect his ST's weakspot. Although Rola urged Mike to just destroy her ST and kill Typhon, Mike refused to do so and instead fought a long battle destroying the Giga-Desp piece by piece. Mike and then Rola escaped while the Eltoria self-destructed.

The ST Falcon is a rather typical Standing Tank. It has the ability to fire rapid shots as well as charge a single shot for increased damage. It can also a limited number of bombs for extra damage. Unlike many other STs, the Falcon is setup to allow for a pilot to control movement with the addition of a gunner to utilize the Falcon's weapon systems.

The ST Falcon Mk II is an improvement over the previous model in overall size. The most significant change is the ability to charge increasingly more powerful shot in three reserve tanks. A fully powered blast that makes contact will cause the enemy's weak spot to flash.
