Metroid Prime Trilogy is a collection of Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption on a single Wii disc. The former two games are updated to support Wii controls along with some other features from Metroid Prime 3, such as allowing the Morph Ball to make jumps. There is also a new achievement system for the first two games based on the one from Metroid Prime 3 which unlock a variety of bonuses. This disc came with an art booklet in most regions.

Japan did not have this compilation, as Nintendo had first released Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 there as part of the New Play Control series. Sales of Metroid Prime Trilogy were discontinued in America and Australia (but not in Europe) for reasons that were undisclosed but possibly had to do with the then-upcoming release of Metroid: Other M.

In 2015, it was released for download through the Wii U's eShop. This release again excluded Japan.
