Mario Party DS Collection

A slew of objects found within Mario Party DS can be gathered and viewed in the Collection on the Gallery menu. These items come in four different types, including: Character Figures, Board Features, Boss Trophies, and Badges. Character Figures and Badges are earned by completing Story Mode with a character or by collecting a specific amount of Mario Party Points; Character Figures are interactive, while Badges can be equipped (though with no additional use). Board Features are mementos scattered around the five boards in the game and can be gained by breaking records in Minigame Mode and the Puzzle Collection or by landing on specific Happening Spaces on a board a certain number of times (this does not have to be in one play-through). Boss Trophies are earned by defeating the bosses a number of times, either in Story Mode or Minigame Mode.

Requirements as well as in-game descriptions are (will be) listed below:

Character Figures

  • Mario - Complete Story Mode using Mario.
    • That round nose and bushy 'stache could only belong to everyone's favorite hero. He's ready to help Peach out of a pinch anytime!
  • Luigi - Complete Story Mode using Luigi.
    • He may be afraid of ghosts, but he has hidden strengths that rival his brother Mario's! He's an all-around great guy and Mario's best pal!
  • Wario - Complete Story Mode using Wario.
  • Yoshi - Complete Story Mode using Yoshi.
  • Peach - Complete Story Mode using Peach.
  • Daisy - Complete Story Mode using Daisy.
  • Waluigi - Complete Story Mode using Waluigi.
  • Toad - Complete Story Mode using Toad.
  • Goomba - You need 2000 points.
    • This brown foe has taken his lumps over the years from Mario's boot. But he seems to harbor secret dreams of turning the tables one day.
  • Scuttlebug - You need 4000 points.
    • Who would think a spider could cut such a dashing figure in yellow and black tiger stripes and red shoes?! Scuttlebug can go anywhere...or flee anywhere!
  • Cheep Cheep - You need 6000 points.
    • This fish jumps out of the water to attack whenever Mario's around. It gets so fired up, it'll even leap out of water and chase prey on land!
  • Boo - You need 8000 points.
    • One of the most famous ghosts anywhere is also one of the shyest! Do you think he's a nice guy? Ask him. He's right behind you.
  • Shy Guy - You need 10000 points.
    • Do you wonder what he looks like under that mask? Could he be dashing, maybe? No one knows the true face of Shy Guy. He's the red-clad mystery lad!
  • Whomp - You need 12000 points.
  • Monty Mole - You need 14000 points.
  • Bob-omb - You need 16000 points.
  • Wiggler - You need 18000 points.
  • Toadette - You need 20000 points.
  • Diddy Kong - You need 22000 points.
  • Koopa - You need 24000 points.
  • Piranha Plant - You need 26000 points.
  • Hammer Bro - You need 28000 points.
  • Dry Bones - You need 30000 points.
  • Kamek - You need 32000 points.
  • Donkey Kong - You need 34000 points.
  • Bowser Jr. - You need 36000 points.
  • Bowser - You need 38000 points.

    • This balloon stands for the bravery you showed when facing the Piranha Plant! Who wouldn't cheer you on, the way you stride so fearlessly?
  • Bomb Seed - Defeat Piranha Plant 3 [more] times.
    • This is a seed from the plant that seems more firecracker than fern! Owning one shows that you have the explosive power of a Piranha Plant hunter!
  • Beaten Piranha Plant - Almost there! Defeat Piranha Plant 4 [more] times.
    • You're such a great Piranha Plant hunter that you captured the boss?! From now on, any Piranha Plant will seem like a sad little weed to you!
  • Toadette's Chair - Defeat Hammer Bro 1 [more] time.
    • This is a chair from the music room that you saved from Hammer Bro. It's a symbol of your first step toward becoming a great Hammer Bro hunter!
  • Toadette's Piano - Defeat Hammer Bro 2 [more] times.
    • This is the piano from the music room that you saved from Hammer Bro. Having this shows that you're a pitch-perfect Hammer Bro hunter!
  • Toadette's Timpano - Defeat Hammer Bro 3 [more] times.
    • This is the most prized item from the music room that you saved from Hammer Bro! It shows that you've got the rhythm of a Hammer Bro hunter!
  • Hammer Bro's Hammer - Defeat Hammer Bro 4 [more] times.
    • Claiming Hammer Bro's own hammer proves that you're a top-notch Hammer Bro hunter! He'll surely just run away the next time he sees you.
  • Beaten Hammer Bro - Almost there! Defeat Hammer Bro 5 [more] times.
    • You captured a live Hammer Bro?! You're the greatest Hammer Bro hunter ever! From now on, Hammer Bro will seem like a hammering fool to you.
  • Yummy Lychee - Defeat Dry Bones 1 [more] time.
    • Oooh! Tasty lychee fruit! This means that you've taken your first step to becoming a Dry Bones hunter. But the beast still sees you as a tropical treat!
  • Delicious Durian - Defeat Dry Bones 2 [more] times.
    • Aaah! Scrumptious durian fruit! This means that you're a great Dry Bones hunter! But the beast still thinks that you're ripe for the plucking!
  • Magic Switch - Defeat Dry Bones 3 [more] times.
    • Recovering this magic switch means you must be a Dry Bones hunter with real talent! Dry Bones sees that you're a threat...so go take care of business!
  • Dry Bones's Bone - Defeat Dry Bones 4 [more] times.
    • Only a superb Dry Bones hunter could claim one of his bones! Now Dry Bones may have a bone to pick with you...make no bones about it!
  • Beaten Dry Bones - Almost there! Defeat Dry Bones 5 [more] times.
    • Only the greatest Dry Bones hunter could capture Dry Bones himself! From now on, a Dry Bones is just a heap of rubbish to you!
  • Winner's Pen - Defeat Kamek 1 [more] time.
    • This pen is your first trophy of victory over Kamek. Now if you could only get into the pages of Kamek Hunter Weekly!
  • Enchanted Bookcase - Defeat Kamek 2 [more] times.
    • Claiming a whole bookcase means you're accumulating Kamek-hunting skill! A word to the wise: when searching for magic books, take a whole bookcase!
  • Kamek's Brown Book - Defeat Kamek 3 [more] times.
    • You're an excellent Kamek hunter to recover this brown book that helped you battle Kamek. Just the sight of this book should make Kamek quiver!
  • Kamek's Blue Dictionary - Defeat Kamek 4 [more] times.
    • You must be a special Kamek hunter if you claimed the dictionary that KO'd Kamek! Surely, Kamek will want to look up the word "surrender" next time!
  • Beaten Kamek - Almost there! Defeat Kamek 5 [more] times.
    • Capturing Kamek makes you the best Kamek hunter of all time! From now on, Kamek is merely a sputtering spellcaster to you!
  • Bowser's Megamorph Belt - Defeat Bowser 1 [more] time.
    • Capturing this belt from Bowser is a good first step on the path toward becoming an awesome Bowser hunter. It's a longer path...but never give up!
  • Electromagnetic Generator - Defeat Bowser 2 [more] times.
    • This is one of Bowser's old inventions. Capturing this weapon makes you a real-deal Bowser hunter. But you have a long way to go toward awesomeness.
  • Bowser Jr.'s Chair - Defeat Bowser 3 [more] times.
    • Capturing Bowser Jr.'s chair makes you a class-act Bowser hunter. It looks like Bowser finally sees you as a threat, so keep up the good work!
  • Bowser's Chair - Defeat Bowser 4 [more] times.
    • Only an excellent Bowser hunter could swipe his chair! Clearly, you can trounce him at musical chairs. And you have gotten his attention...
  • Bowser Cube - Defeat Bowser 5 [more] times.
    • Only a superior Bowser hunter could capture this cube! Bowser must really be fuming now! But can you capture the big boss himself?
  • Beaten Bowser - Almost there! Defeat Bowser 6 [more] times.
    • You are the greatest Bowser hunter ever! You captured him! Nothing can beat you! You're standing on top of the world! Oh, yes! The whole world!
