-Turtwig evolves into Grotle at Level 16. As with its earlier form, its shell is made out of hardened soil, which is apparently fertile enough for small bushy trees to grow there. It lives near water in the forest and is said to know where pure water swells up, so that Grotle usually has its own secret springwater. Grotle leaves the forest in the daytime to sunbathe its treed shell. Some Pokémon come to peck the berries which grow on the small trees on its back, and it will often carry fellow Pokémon on its back.
