In this game, players race in animal-themed robot vehicles. Players score high grades not just by winning the race, but also by completing minigames and performing various stunts and tricks to collect stars. There are also various items that can be collected and used during races. The game can be controlled with the Wii Remote held horizontally or the Wii Wheel.

Aside from the game's standard racing mode, there are also two modes of higher difficulties, the hardest of which is also a mirror mode, as well as a mode where players play poker while racing and a minigame mode. This game was capable of both two-player local racing and six-player online racing through the [[Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection]].
