Druddigon is a deadly dragon-like Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games.

Information[edit]

Druddigon resembles a dragon with blue skin and wings matched with a red face and scales. They usually live in narrow caves and race through them to catch prey in their sharp claws. The skin on its face is actually harder than rock. Although it does not seem to be capable of flight (or at least Fly), Druddigon's wings do function as absorbing sunlight, which keeps its body warm. If its body temperature drops, Druddigon could be rendered immobile.

Appearances[edit]

Mainstream Games[edit]

In Pokémon: Black and White Versions, Druddigon was uncommonly found outside Dragonspiral Tower.

Other Appearances[edit]

Other Media[edit]

  • In the Pokémon anime, one episode of the Unova series featured a trainer named Amy who was training a Druddigon. The Druddigon was frustrated with the troubles it was having learning Draco Meteor (so much that it got caught in a rope and tried attacking Ash's group with Focus Blast upon first seeing them), but it ultimately mastered the move by the end of the episode.

Trivia[edit]

  • Druddigon's name is a play on "dragon" combined with "ruddy" (which means a reddish color, describing its face).
