Daisy Oak is a supporting character from the first two generations of the Pokémon series. She is initially presented solely as being Blue's sister, but later remakes have fleshed out her character more.
Background
Daisy was the granddaughter of Professor Oak who lived at Pallet Town with her Oak and her younger brother, Blue. She had a love for grooming Pokémon and having tea from the Celadon Department Store. Others saw her as being like "a little angel". Daisy had also been a Pokémon Coordinator in the past (and possibly still is), and she was the grand champion of the Spring Pokémon Contest.
In the first generation games, her primary role was giving a Town Map to Red after learning that he was running an errand for the professor. This was despite Blue claiming that he would tell her not to give him one. She presumably gave a map to Blue as well. Daisy also advised Red to let Pokémon rest. In FireRed/LeafGreen, after defeating the Elite Four, she began giving Pokémon massages and judging the happiness of the player's Pokémon. Her last message to Red via the Fame Checker had her noting how skilled Red had become and hoping that he would remain a good rival to Blue.
In the second generation, she still lived at Pallet Town and seemed to be proud of Blue for becoming Viridian City's gym leader. Daisy would groom the player's Pokémon if they joined her for tea at some time between the hours of three and four. In HeartGold and SoulSilver, if the player visited her consistently after defeating Blue, Daisy would decide to give Blue's Pokégear number to the player. She did this somewhat mischievously, as she knew that her brother wanted company despite his overconfidence, and Daisy even giggled as she told the player when he was free. The only other notable difference from the second generation was that her massages know also boosted a Pokémon's Beauty stat, which could make Feebas's evolution into Milotic easier.

- Daisy does not seem to exist in the continuity of the Pokémon anime. The Electric Tale of Pikachu manga did feature a sister for Blue's counterpart Gary, but with a different name. She was known as May in the official English translation and gave Ash a Town Map, which follows her role from the games. Ash is shown to have a crush on her which inspires him to become a Pokémon Trainer, and she is last mentioned she sends him a letter in a later chapter.
- In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Daisy was introduced in the Yellow arc and was shown to work for Professor Oak as an assistant. She played a larger role in the Gold/Silver/Crystal arc, where she initially spent time Red and Yellow, and she was concerned with Red during his recovery from the previous arc. Daisy later attended the Pokémon Association tournament, and during the arc's climax she teamed up with Bill to repair the Pokémon Transfer system, which allowed all of the other trainers to send their Pokémon to help in the fight against the Masked Man's Lugia and Ho-Oh. Daisy and Bill had bonded enough that she became his new assistant afterwards, with the implications of a romance between them. Daisy is mentioned near the end of the Ruby/Sapphire arc which references her background as a Pokémon Coordinator and reveals that Courtney was a childhood friend. Daisy later made a small appearance in the Platinum arc, where she was shown to have become a Pokémon Doctor.

- She is named after a type of flower, possibly as a variation of the tree-based naming scheme used for the professors.
- In FireRed/LeafGreen, she is one of the few non-Pokémon League affiliated characters to get a Fame Checker entry.
