Color Changing Tingle's Love Balloon Trip is the sequel to the 2006 game, Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland and is the third game to star Tingle as the primary protagonist. Unlike the previous game, Tingle's focus is not on collecting Rupees, but in wooing women in an adventure/dating sim type game.

Story

The game starts with an ordinary 35-year old man who, after watching a sales pitch on television, learns of a book that will make him popular with women. After purchasing said book, he is drawn inside where he becomes Tingle, with the only way out being to dance with the princess of the book's world.

Gameplay

Instead of bodyguards, Tingle is this time accompanied by three characters that are inspired by the Wizard of Oz. The scarecrow Kakashi, is small and can fit into small places, the tin woman Buriki is intelligent, and the Lion possesses great strength. Tingle must use the abilities of his three new friends to solve puzzles to advance in the game.

Instead of negotiating prices, Tingle now has to find ways to befriend female characters, by finding the right words during conversations and finding the right kind of gifts to five to his love interests.

Legacy

This ended up being the last of the Tingle spin-off games. It is known that Vanpool was working on another Tingle game in 2010 that was apparently planned to be a horror game, but the project was cancelled for some number of undisclosed reasons.
