=Information=

Blitzle are said to appear when there are thunderclouds in the sky. This is likely because they can catch lightning with their manes and store the electricity there. A Blitzle's mane shines when it discharges electricity. Blitzle have been known to use these flashing manes as a means of communicating with each other.

Blitzle evolves into Zebstrika at Level 27.

*In the ''Pokémon'' anime, a Blitzle was featured as the main Pokémon of a trainer named Stephan who battled Ash. It caused Ash's [[Oshawott]] to lose its scalchop and destroyed its replacement when they battled again, but Blitzle ultimately lost. It later evolved into a Zebstrika. Blitzle have made minor appearances in other episodes.
