Baba Orninion is a pilot in the F-Zero series known for his wild, active lifestyle.

Background

Known as a "wild child", Baba Orninionwas was raised on Giant, a beautiful planet with expansive tracts of green land. Thanks to preternatural animal instincts and well-toned physique, he was naturally adept at many athletic sports and received several offers from various professional sports teams. Despite this, he always wanted to be a F-Zero pilot. For this reason, he applied to the F-Zero Pilot Selection Committee to compete in the races. He was even given his own machine to race in.

However he failed to win during his debut race. He realized he had a lot to learn and spent the year training and undergoing a spiritual journey. As a result his physical strength has increased twofold. Because of his natural abilities, he is rather overconfident and considered something of a big-mouth. His greatest skills is his own mind though, as he is a very quick learner and can master or improve any technique he sees.

His F-Zero GX movie, Baba's Secret Training. "Ooh, No Peeking!", shows Baba running through a plain. He then starts to climb what looks like a mountain but it actually a small ledge. It then looks as if Baba's balancing a boulder on his finger but it is actually being carried by a crane. Then Baba decides to take a shower. As he showering someone pulls the shower curtain revealing him only in his helmet and underwear. He then begins to scream.

Baba also appeared in F-Zero: GP Legend as a member of the Dark Million organization.

The Iron Tiger was designed by the Pilot Training School which was commissioned by the Executive Project Committee. It was developed to help train potential F-Zero pilots in order to help new pilots bear the burden of winning future Grand Prix championships. The ship is designed with excellent operability and a strong body to account for Baba's wild driving style.
