Originally, Noise was a PC developer. Shortly, they were bought by Marigul, a join venture between Nintendo and Recruit, a Japanese telecommunications company.

They're first game, Custom Robo, was a success in Japan. After the success of the game, Noise was made an official second party developer.

The games have continued to be successful. The first game that arrived in America was Custom Robo Battle Revolution. It wasn't very successful because it was released near the end of the Gamecube's life cycle.
