The Legendary Starfy (known in Japan as Densetsu no Stafy: Taiketsu! Dire Kaizokudan) is the sequel to Densetsu no Stafy 4 and the first of the series to be released in America. The Japanese title translates as The Legend of Stafy: Pirate Gang Confrontation!

Story

Bunston, a rabbit in a space suit, is being chased by the Dire Pirate Squad, who want a jewel he has. Starfy and his sister, Starly, search for Bunston and try to stop the Dire Pirate Squad.

Gameplay

In this installment of the series, Starfy gets transformed by touching Bunston. Among his costumes are a ghost, a dragon, a chicken, and a seal.

Another new feature in this game is that in this game, a second player can play as Starly. Other features include five different minigames and the ability to share boss battle records over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
