Card Hero is a trading card game for the Gameboy Color.
Story
In Card Hero, a card name called "Card Hero" is the latest craze. The player controls an boy in elementary school who is just learning to play "Card Hero". As the game progress, the boy competes for medals and eventually defeats some bad guys for control of the town.
Gameplay
The game has two modes. In Story Mode, the player follows the story of the school boy on the road to being a champion. In Ladder Mode, the player competes in order to get new cards.
In the card games, the main objective is to defeat your opponent's Master card. The player can attack their opponent's Master card with their Monster cards. They are allowed to have four Monster cards in play at a time.
Legacy
One of the characters in Card Hero, Maruo Maruhige, is available as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee.
