All seven of Tiki Tong's underlings were defeated, and they then returned to the tower. When Donkey Kong and Diddy arrived at the tower, Tiki Tong ate a large pile of bananas and then regurgitated a juice which transformed the seven Tikis into a pair of hands that he could control. Tiki Tong then attempted to crush both of the Kongs. By stomping the jewels on the back of each hand, the hands were eventually destroyed in a shower of bananas. Tiki Tong then floated around and tried to drop down atop the Kongs and also released Flaming Tiki Buzzes. Every time it dropped down, Tiki Tong caused a shock wave, although the top of its head also popped into the air  to reveal a button on the top of its head.

After the button was stomped down three times, Tiki Tong cracked and exploded violently enough to sent one of the Kongs flying to the moon. Any of its remains, as well as Tiki Tong's tower, seemed to have been destroyed when the moon subsequently fell onto the volcano.
