Nothing was established about Green's background, but considering that she had an evolved starter Pokémon and matched Red and Blue, it was likely that she was another trainer hailing from Pallet Town. She was excitable, impulsive and eccentric, and she had a habit of throwing Poké Balls at people when she claimed that she wanted to catch them.

Within the Let's Go! games, she appeared after the Elite Four was beaten. She traveled into Cerulean Cave in search of Mewtwo. Chase/Elaine could find her in Mewtwo's area upon returning there after catching Mewtwo. She greeted the trainer by throwing a Poké Ball at them, having confused them with a Pokémon in the darkness. After finding out that they had already caught Mewtwo, she was disappointed and challenged them to a battle. After being defeated, she acknowledged Chase/Elaine's strength and gave them the Mega Stones needed for Mewtwo's Mega Evolutions. Green proceeded to propose that Chase/Elaine become her Pokémon along with Mewtwo and threw several more Poké Balls at them before departing.
