Fracktail will swoop at Mario from various angles until Mario jumps onto his back.  While on Fracktail's back, Mario can pick up the Frackles found there and throw them at Fracktail's antenna to damage him, while also trying to stay aboard when the dragon performs aerial loops.  After Mario defeats Fracktail, the dragon apologizes for attacking him and explodes.

*When first scanning Mario for information about him, Fracktail's eyes turn into the symbol used while the [[Wii]] is downloading new information.  Also, when Fracktail's circuits are crashing, he shouts, "I AM ERROR," a reference to ''[[Zelda II: The Adventure of Link]]''.
