Editing Wally

In ''[[Pokémon Masters EX]]'', Wally and his Gallade appeared as a playable sync pair that could be recruited at random through the game's Sync Pair Scout feature starting in May 2020. His Gallade could Mega Evolve when using a sync move during battle. A Sygna Suit variant of Wally paired with a Shiny Gardevoir (also capable of Mega Evolution) was made available through the Sync Pair Scout during limited time periods starting at the end of September 2022. When battled as an opponent in some events, Wally has sometimes paired with other Pokémon such as Altaria, Roserade and Garchomp. In the Main Story, Wally played a role during the Hoenn chapter of the Villain Arc, in which he helped [[Team Aqua]] members to retreat from an attack by [[Courtney]] and [[Groudon]].  

Wally also made appearances in several Story Events, such as "Serena's Dessert Party", "Family Ties", "Passio Eggsplorers" and "Revel in Rivalry". In the "Family Ties" event, he fought alongside Norman and Brendan in a family competition event. He also fought on a team with [[Bede]] and [[Hugh (Pokemon)|Hugh]] in the "Revel in Rivalry" event and tried to keep the peace between his combative teammates. Wally later starred in the Story Event "Melancholy Wally". In that event, he wanted to team up with [[Diantha]] for a competition because they both used Gardevoir, but she turned him down as she did not feel a shine from them and felt they needed to figure out what they lacked. Wally assumed that they were lacking with strength, so he focused on pushing his Gardevoir in training, to the point where it disappeared on him. [[Noland]] was able to help to remind Wally of how he was when he first started training Pokémon and did not worry about winning or losing. He found his Gardevoir and apologized. Diantha turned him down again, but this time it was because she wanted to face him in battle now that he was truly working as a team with his Gardevoir. Wally ultimately defeated her to win the competition, and she agreed that they would team up in the future. They went off to a cafe to continue working on their bond.

*He appeared in the ''Pokémon Adventures'' manga with a large role in the ''Ruby''/''Sapphire'' arc. In this version, Norman refused to teach him how to be a trainer after learning about his condition, at which point Ruby took over and lent him a Ralts while teaching him how to catch Pokémon. As Ruby was promptly lost in a river while protecting a Pokémon, Wally held onto his Ralts for him. Wally later became a stronger trainer and was shown to wear a special respirator suit. Norman eventually took Wally in and used him to help in awakening [[Rayquaza]], which required someone of a child's size (a role that had been intended for Norman's son Ruby before his disappearance). He also temporarily held the third starter Pokémon [[Treecko]] and a Pokédex that [[Professor Birch]] had lost. It evolved into a [[Grovyle]] before it was lost, but the Pokédex was returned to Birch, with both being meant for the new character Emerald (thus Wally acted as a temporary placeholder for him). Wally made a return appearance in the ''Omega Ruby''/''Alpha Sapphire'' arc, where he gave an injured Sapphire shelter in his Secret Base and later helped with the effort to stop Grand Meteor Delta.

*Wally keeps his Key Stone encased in a Mega Pendant that he wears around his neck. The pendant is made of wood in the shape of Gallade's head.
