Yoshi Topsy-Turvy (known as Yoshi's Universal Gravitation in Japan and Europe) is a Game Boy Advance game featuring Yoshi which is based on Yoshi's Story and utilizes the Game Boy Advance's tilt sensor for its gameplay.

Story[edit]

When Bowser causes trouble on Yoshi's Island, a spirit known as Hongo takes matters into his own hands and transforms the island into a storybook to trap Bowser. Yoshi must pass the trials of the various spirits and defeat Bowser so that the island will be returned to normal.

Gameplay[edit]

This game takes the basic gameplay from previous Yoshi games and combines it with the tilt feature. Tilting the game will move the world around Yoshi, which can toss enemies and other objects around, and it will activate certain items such as pendulums. This can also change the environment so that Yoshi can proceed. Additionally, each level is ruled by a different spirit, and they are cleared by performing certain tasks for the spirits such as collecting items or defeating a certain amount of enemies.

Legacy[edit]

Sequels[edit]

The game does not have a direct sequel but was followed by Yoshi Touch & Go for the Nintendo DS.
