Rebecca is one of the playable units in Fire Emblem.

Background[edit]

Rebecca was born and raised in a small village in Pherae, and she was the daughter of the village's magistrate. She lived next door to Wil, who became best friends with her brother Dan. But when Rebecca was only about ten years old, Wil and Dan ran away from home on a get-rich-quick scheme. Rebecca and her parents worried about the two. Five years later, at the age of 15, Rebecca used her skills as an archer to help Eliwood fight off some bandits in "Taking Leave" (Eliwood Chapter 10). Rebecca then decided to travel with Eliwood, hoping to defend Pherae's lordling and search for her brother at the same time.

Possible Fates[edit]

Rebecca has four different possible endings, depending on who reaches an A Rank Support level with. Regardless of ending, she becomes the mother of Wolt.

  • Default Ending- Rebecca returned to her father and pledged to serve House Pherae. She then formed a family in Pherae while serving it well.
  • Lowen and Rebecca's Ending- Lowen married Rebecca, and they became Pherae's two most truster retainers. In this ending, it is said that Wolt inherited Rebecca's smile and skill with a bow, along with Lowen's chivalrous spirit.
  • Sain and Rebecca's Ending- Sain requested a discharge after Lyn put Caelin under Ostian protection, and he the moved to Pherae to be near Rebecca. They had a son who was nothing like Sain.
  • Wil and Rebecca's Ending- Rebecca continued serving Eliwood as one of his retainers following the final battle. Wil soon traveled to Pherae and joined her in serving House Pherae. They were married and had a son who shared their archery skills.

Support Conversation Summaries[edit]

Rebecca is capable of Support conversations with seven other characters.

  • Dart- In the first conversation, Rebecca approaches Dart, thinking him to be her brother Dan. Dart denies this and claims to be a pirate, frightening Rebecca. In the second conversation, Rebecca apologizes to Dart for being afraid of him and gives him some food she made. In the third conversation, he gives her a shell and they discuss Dan, at which point Dart realizes that he might have been Dan prior to losing his memory. They find out for sure after Dart checks and find he has the same scar Dan had. Dart then asks Rebecca to call her Brother, and Rebecca calls her Big Brother Dart- saying that he might not be Dan anymore, but he still was her brother.
  • Louise- In the first conversation, Rebecca meets with Louise, who is glad to meet a fellow archer. Rebecca fumbles in her speech while talking with Louise, so she asks Louise to teach her how to be a proper lady. In the second conversation, Rebecca says that she wants these lessons, because she has a crush on a guy and does not want him to see her as just an uncultured country girl. But then Louise tells Rebecca the story of how she met her husband, Lord Pent, and tells her that she should show her true heart to her love instead of doubting herself. Like all characters, Rebecca can only have two Support conversations with Louise due to Louise already having an A Rank with Pent.
  • Lowen- In the first conversation, Rebecca attempts to boost Lowen's confidence by telling an exaggerated account of one time when Lowen had successfully saved her village from a group of bandits. In the second Support conversation, Lowen continues thinking lowly of his abilities, while Rebecca attempts to convince him that Marcus is just being too harsh with his teachings. To thank him for his hard work, Rebecca gives Lowen some food she prepared herself to compliment his emergency rations, having learned about his emergency rations from Marcus. In the third Support conversation, Lowen rushes to Rebecca's side after experiencing a dark premonition, only to find that Rebecca is unharmed. Lowen reveals that he cares deeply for Rebecca and does not want to lose her after having lost his father and grandfather not too long ago. Rebecca is happy to hear this, and they are followed by an awkward silence. Rebecca finally breaks the silence by guessing that Lowen's dark premonition must have been some sort of terrible feeling, but Lowen corrected her by saying it is actually a terrible rumbling in his stomach.
  • Nino- In the first Support conversation, Rebecca and Nino introduce themselves to each other and, realizing that they are almost the same age, they decide to hang out together. Rebecca starts by giving Nino one of her baked dumplings and offering to teach her how to make them. In the second conversation, Rebecca is satisfied with Nino's dumplings and then shows her how to make necklaces out of dried berries. In the third conversation, they finish the necklace but find it is too big for Nino. Rebecca tells Nino to give it to someone she likes and refuses to tell Nino if she ever game someone a necklace. Nino decides to give Rebecca the necklace, and they decide to always be friends.
  • Raven- In the first Support conversation, Raven helps Rebecca to replace her bowstring. They introduce each other, but Raven says he already knows her name since he makes a point of knowing everyone in this ragtag band of mercenaries. Rebecca comes to think of Raven as somewhat scary but good-looking, and possibly good on the inside. In the second Support conversation, Rebecca decides to thank Raven by hunting and cooking something for him. This leads Raven to think of her as tougher than he expected. In the third Support conversation, Rebecca returns with the meat and is surprised to see Raven smile. Raven admits he is human and has emotions, and Rebecca mentions how he reminds her of her brother. She tells Raven about Dan and how she thinks he must not miss her if he hadn't communicated with her in the last five years, but Raven assures her that Dan must have some reason keeping him from returning to home and that he would never forgot her. Raven says that is what brothers do. Rebecca then starts to cry, leading Raven to revise his opinion of her by saying she's tough, but still just a child.
  • Sain- In his usual manner, Sain attempts to hit on Rebecca. However, Rebecca later finds out about Sain's habit of hitting on every woman he meets, so she starts acting cold to him. Rebecca rejects Sain's constant flattery, saying that if he says those things to every woman he meets, none of them would be special. Sain insists that his feelings for her are real and that she could trust him, but he fell silent when Rebecca suggesting telling Lyn about this, causing Rebecca to call Sain a pig and storm off on him.
  • Wil- In the first Support conversation, Wil meets Rebecca again, but Rebecca does not recognize him at first. In the second Support conversation, she remembers and talks to Wil. Wil tells her about what he's done in the time since they've seen each other, but Rebecca gets angry at him and kicks him in the stomach before leaving. In the third Support conversation, Rebecca continues to be angry at Wil because of how both he and Dan left her years ago and never bothered to communicate with her since. Wil had thought Dan had returned to Pherae, so this news came as surprise. Wil apologized and promised that he would never leave again and always protect Rebecca.
