Nastasia was the loyal assistant of Count Bleck, known for her casual speaking style. She deeply loved the count, but knew her loved was unrequited due to Bleck's lingering feelings for a girl from his past. She was gifted with the power of hypnotism, which she used to command Bleck's minions and keep them in line. She also had higher levels of her hynotism, such as super-hypnotism. Nastasia was forced to resort to super hypnotism in order to break Princess Peach's will and make her marry Bowser, so that the event could set Bleck's apocalypse into motion.

When Bleck was still known as Blumiere and Timpani (Tippi) had just recently vanished from the world, he went in search of his beloved and came instead upon a bat trapped in a net. He freed the bat and continued his search. Later that night, the bat returned, having transformed into the same species as Blumiere to fulfill her newfound love for him. Now known as Nastasia, she swore allegiance to him from then on.

Nastasia made several attempts to change Count Bleck's mind about destroying all worlds, but they were in vein. Bleck would either brush her comments aside or tell her that it was too late to undo the apocalypse he had set into motion. Nastasia proved her loyalty to the count late in the game, when she tossed herself into the way of Dimentio's attack which would have finished off Bleck. Nastasia eventually recovered, only to find that Bleck had been reunited with his love, and that they had disappeared. With her love gone, Nastasia spent her time in Flipside contemplating her future.
