Drifblim is a large, ghostly blimp-like Pokémon that was introduced in the fourth generation games. It is the evolved form of Drifloon.

Information

Drifblim evolves from Drifloon at Level 28. They are usually drowsy in the daytime, but they fly off in large groups during the evening when carried by the winds. No one knows where they go. Driflblim can carry both people and Pokémon, but it can end up anywhere since it can only drift. Drifblim can control the altitude of its flight by generating or releasing gas.

In Pokémon: Black and White Versions, Drifblim uncommonly appeared at Routes 13 and 14 and by the entrance to Giant Chasm.

Other Games

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness, Drifblim could be recruited at Mt. Mistral. In Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, it appeared at Volcano Cave, Chroma Ruins and Hippowdon Temple. In Pokémon Ranger; Guardian Signs, they were found at the Sky and Light temple. In Pokémon Rumble, they appeared at Windy Prairie. Drifblim also appeared in PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure in various zones and could carry Pikachu between different zones, being automatically befriended after the first ride.

• In the Pokémon anime, Drifblim was first shown in the tenth movie where it belonged to a trainer named Tonio, who used it for scientific analysis (in the manner of real weather balloons). During the Sinnoh series, Fantina's Drifloon evolved into a Drifblim during her battle with Ash while fighting Ash's Pikachu, which it then defeated along with his Buizel before losing to Chimchar.
• In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Driblim was primarily featured as Fantina's main Pokémon during the Diamond/Pearl arc. She rode it as a form of transportation and used it to save Diamond and Pearl from a deadly fall following their battle with Cyrus at Celestic Town. She used it in her gym battle with Platina, where her Empoleon was able to beat it with Blizzard, and Fantina then lent the Drifblim to Platina for use as transport to Canalave City.
