Caustic Dweevils are spider-like creatures that surround themselves with a veil of water if provoked.

Dweevils are creatures known for their natural instincts for mimicking objects or creatures. Typically they will hide under the corpses of fallen creatures, but if not available they will hide under other objects, such as bottlecaps or anything else they can find. In particular they are known for their immense strength as they have no difficulty in lifting the bodies of even large Bulbaxes. These creatures are typically peaceful and feed on nectar and grass. The species come in many variants of which the Caustic Dweevil is one of.
As its color implies, it uses water to attack. Rather than some external defense, it spits out an acidic water that will stick to enemies and drown them. Because of this, blue pikmin have a natural advantage against them. Simply attacking their body will soon bring them down. But caution must be taken due to the fact that not even Hocotatian space suits can withstand damage from its acidic water.
