Captain Falcon is a pilot from the
F-Zero series who made his original debut in the
SNES game
F-Zero and has appeared in all but one of the games. Aside from racing the
Blue Falcon as racer #7, he is also a well-known bounty hunter who has brought in countless criminals. His deeds have earned him many rivals, such as fellow hunter
Samurai Goroh and notorious criminals like
Zoda and
Black Shadow.
Falcon's true origins and name are mysterious and different games have appended different names to him. His supposed son,
Kent Akechi, appears in
Maximum Velocity and he has even has a clone,
Blood Falcon, thanks to Black Shadow. Captain Falcon is a playable character in all the
Smash Bros. games. The moveset he was given include the notorious
Falcon Punch which has since worked its way into the F-Zero anime and was even mentioned in a background song from
F-Zero GX.
