Go with Steve's plan, Man
Maybe he's gonna kill you,
But he seems legit.

Whoa, lots of entertaining haikus. You guys are good at this.

I'll leave this contest active until midnight Tuesday night, then I'll call in an impartial judge to choose which is the best.

Make sure your judge has read the Wikipedia article on Haikus, in order to familiarize themselves on all the qualities of a proper haiku, beyond the number of syllables.

Just saying, they should be aware :awesome:

Five, seven, then five
A clash of contradiction
Then, over, and done.

Haikus are for the stupid and lazy;
On the other hand, sonnets are awesome.
Man, Mega Man X is pretty crazy.
Wily created Zero, X's chum.
I think he's pretty gay personally,
But not in the awesome Vin Diesel way.
Shoehorned into the game annoyingly,
This would not be the last time, I should say.
He got into MvC over Rock.
No, Capcom, Zero isn't enough, aight?
Now tell me; whose jaw do I have to sock
So I'll cure the planet of Zero's blight.
The rest of the game is pretty fun, though.
Boba Fett is my favorite maverick, yo.

Point taken, Ditto, but who's to say what makes a good haiku? Sometimes good art challenges the establishment. Or I could cut the BS and say that I really just wanted the dopey things you write in third grade. Granted, that does mean your entry has a unique epic quality to it. I know that epic isn't the word I want but the internet has ruined my brain.

Also, Mega Man Zero is a very fun time. I started that some months ago and stopped when I got to Neo Arcadia, I should pick it back up.

NOW WITH LIMERICKS!

There once was Stardroid named Venus,
Whose Chassis was shaped like a penis.
With himself he would play
In both April and May
And his Bubble Bomb was quite heinous

Was my haiku true? Was it proper and clashing? Or did I blow it?

Haikus don't have to be 5-7-5.

Guts Man is so hugely fat
His haikus have six more syllables
Than your standard haiku does.
