A girl was reading one of Vorpal's books, and couldn't take it anymore. She closed it, and Vorpal was standing there pointing at the photo on the back. She took one look at him and said, "I'll take my chances with the book!"

DOH HO HO HO!

But seriously, have you published anything recently? I know you've been working on a Brief Conceits collection.

I was referring to what I now call Brief Conceits Alpha, my simple self-published collection now out of print. I do have a few dedicated fans from that. One has used it in forensics competitions, for example.

My current goals are first draft of my novel done by the end of the year, and that's still on track. Then I'll edit (don't know how long that will take) and then I'll shop it around for a publisher.

My illustration ambitions have pushed back my Brief Conceits collection. I'm probably going to finish that and self-publish around March-April 2011. That is what it's looking like, at least.

For an author, sometimes Vorpal's late to the punchline.

For the readers, I wish he'd be late to the deadline!

D'OH HOHOHOHOHOHO!

But seriously, Vorpal's is not a book to be tossed aside lightly.

Come on, guys. Vorpal's book isn't so bad. I myself like to keep a copy in the bathroom while I read the toilet paper.

DO HOHOHOHO!

Those pictures are enlightening.

I never realized that someone needs to take Nintenfreak's crayons away.
