So IGN is going around saying Retro has been working on a DK game. An industry insider from NeoGAF says it's been in development since 2006. Not much more is known, not even a title, but it looks pretty likely at this point. Crosslinking with the DKU topic.

I'd like to see Retro do this.

Now you know why he's been MIA these last few months.

Yeah, this sounds potentially exciting. I was just talking with a real life friend about the lack of DK games the other day.

according to a Retro insider, this game has been in development since 2006. Which might explain why there's been a lack of them lately.

Starring Danny Devito as King K. Rool, Michelle Pfeiffer as Candy Kong and Christopher Walken as Snide the Weasel.

But really, that trailer left me on the floor

The gameplay looks very much like Jungle Beat to me, in terms of how smooth and quickly Donkey Kong is jumping around all over the place. Without the bongos, of course.

But it also gave a lot of a classic DKC feel to me as well. Hopefully they'll blend the best of them both... Diddy rolling on DK was too epic.

Yeah. It seems to be combining a lot of awesome aspect of DKC, Jungle Beat, and even the recent Jungle Climber with how DK and Diddy work together.

Can I say that the level where you just saw the silhouettes and the only character color was DK's tie was beautiful?

Apparently the first level is a semimake of Jungle Hijinx. Complete with banana hoard cave.
