You have a good point on Dimensional Trade-In--I err on the side of speed when picking tempos for my songs. The tempo in the original is 180, but 150 and 130 sound good, too. And, upon relistening, they squeeze out more flavor from the mood.

Hm, can't say which one I prefer, honestly. I'll go with 130 tentatively, because it's more laid out in some parts than 150

I should really finish I Don't Know That Song, LOL. In the meantime, I've finished The Last Ten Minutes (a short song, but stretched out by a tempo of 50) and Puppetmaster Can't Have My Heart, which is a WIP.

I need to get back to the pentatonic scale, I think I've forgotten about it in recent weeks.

Mmmmmeh. Could've turned out better. Still, I think it's solid. Steam Powered OG music ahoy!

EDIT: And now, the conclusion to Puppetmaster Can't Have My Heart.

Alright, maybe I shouldn't make another post this soon, but WHATEV. I also told Lupus the next song I'd write would be a minor swing song, but when inspiration strikes, ya gotta grab it by the neck and say, GIMME ALL YER MONEY! This song does that, I think.

The theme seems to say, "Man, we've lost, but... I kinda feel like dancin'."

Could've used some more instruments (a faster melody in the background), but I dunno, I can't imagine how I'd do it without ruining the mood. I still need practice in what notes to hit for what mood given the key...

Hot on the heels of my recent obsession with the Blizzard Buffalo theme comes another sunken space station song: The Hairy Kitchen.

EDIT: Oh hey, MP3 version!: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LEQIBT56

EDIT: The midi version sounds a lot better, IMO. It brings out the sounds I want it to much better.

Whoa. Found something I never bothered to finish, and it's really groovin'. I'll get to work on finishing it soon.

EDIT: Just ran Game Over, Red Rover through FL Studio. The result: http://www.last.fm/music/Greg+Livingston+(Golem)/_/Game+Over%2C+Red+Rover?autostart

EDIT: Okay, new song this time. LAS VEGAAAAS!

LOL, I should not be writing music now... anyway, here's a work in progress. I'm not sure where to go from here.

So anyway, I have an 8bitcollective account now: http://8bitcollective.com/members/Golem/

Here's a short little ditty. I normally wouldn't post something so short, but it's supposed to be a remix of the Mario Bros battle music. Done entirely by ear, it surprised me that I was able to match the original as closely as I did. Get ready for everyone's favorite key: B Minor.

I've always wanted to do a similar kind of remix with the Super Mario Bros 2 overworld theme.

I'm going to have to listen to this when I get home, but what's your fascination with B minor? ;)

So I got around to listening to it. It's not bad. Do you plan on finishing this?

I liked it, but rather than have it sorta fade out, I would've preferred that it ended with something like that uh... I can only describe it as a bomb being dropped and exploding >.> Although having that as a trick end was pretty neat.
