I'm not happy about the "no items" rule, either... but I'll join in... Also, the problem with 3-minute matches is that if it goes into sudden death, then it will be too long to save a replay file.

I know having no items is a downer for all of us, but think of this, what if someone pulls out a Deoxys, Groudon, Golden Hammer, ect.?

Or a freaking Smash Ball three times in less than two minutes.

Then they win the match and you all laugh at the beauty of luck because your having such a fun time anyway?

Bah, I can't believe you've fallen victim to the "no items means it's fair" junk. :p

That's why you make the stock high enough that you can average out the effects of OMG KOs.

But then again, if you pick a slow character, it gets frustrating when your quicker opponent grabs all the Golden Hammers, Smash Balls, etc.
