Yay! Another double post! I'm going for a record!
Hopefully these links work. These are the pieces of music that are the best I've found so far, though they all have their short comings.
Frou Frou - Must Be Dreaming
This song has a moderately fast-paced tempo which would be easier to put action scenes to. It also has an ethereal quality to it which gives it a mood very open to fantastical scenes. It's lyrics don't really make much sense in English in some places, though parts of it could be applied to Party Goers kinda well. Another knock against it, is that this is probably really annoying music to a sizable portion of people (though that might be true for any music you choose)
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - The Impression That I Get
This also has a nice fast pace making it very good for adapting action scenes to. It also has an appropriate theme for Party Goers-esque situations. It doesn't have a ethereal or epic feel to it, which doesn't open itself up to some of the more... artistic scenes I have in mind. This is also the shortest song out of all of these
Reel Big Fish - Dateless Losers
This basically has the same things as Impression, but it does slow down a couple times, making for a good change in mood that can be used effectively. It also doesn't have harsh yelling at times like Impression. Again, it's lacking anything ethereal or epic.
The Ataris - So Long, Astoria
This has really nice lyrics, that could apply nicely to Party Goers. Fast pace, has a more epic feeling to it than the previous two, though not nearly as epic as I'd like. The voices are most harsh in this song.
Coldplay - Speed of Sound
Another example of an ethereal/epic (though not very epic) I'm trying to go for. Goes a bit too slow for intense action. Action could be done, it just wouldn't feel as intense against the music even if it wasn't changed at all. It would be nice if I could find a song that has the tempo of the first listed songs as some point, but then slows down somewhere (or the other way around...) something that combines both.
And because I added Coldplay and rejected Ditto's suggestion for the exact same reason, I'll include his, though it basically has the same things going on with it like Speed of Sound.
Nobou Uematsu - Long Distance (From Vocal Collections 2 Love Will Grow)
