We're not better than you. Some of it is born in you but alot of it is mostly effort.

I was born with little to none. I just like drawing, and I got a bit better, though nothing that I ever learned applied to making that Baseball Boy.

High school art classes are a giant waste of time, at least based on the ones I've been through.

I don't have Flash, so I can't be sure if I'm correct or not, but here goes: Flash can instantly convert lines you draw into vectors, which can be expanded or shrunk to any size without loss of detail. Closed areas can then be filled in (like the Paint Tool on MS Paint) and shaded/faded. Some people are more comfortable with Flash than any graphics program, so they use that instead.

I know how you feel. I mean, my mom always said I was more "developed." I was drawing 4th grader stuff when everyone else in my kindergarten class was still drawing stick figures. But when it came to art classes, even when I liked the teacher, I always did poorly. Because I already developed my own sense of style my own way and the teachers always wanted me to do it their way.

I've dabbled a bit with Flash and yeah I know what you're talking about with the lines and stuff. That's stuff's cool. But the pic I made was with Fireworks actually, which is kinda in the same Macromedia family with Flash. SIGH! I wished I saved my files from my High School computer class. I did a short animation with flash where Mario's daughter walks into a very ALttP-ish forest and says "What an ugly forest!" and walks back out. That cracked my teacher up.

Sadly, all I have is Paint. I'd ask for something else, like Photoshop, but I have already bugged the hell outta my mom into buying and installing Powerpoint so I can do my little "cartoons" on it. By the time it was installed, I had already decided to just write them in script form. So it's basically useless now. After that, it's not likely I'll get money to get Photoshop or something anytime soon.

I sketched Mario Jr. My friend borrowed my pen, so it's not the finished product. I made Mario Jr. a little bit shorter though due to starting low on the paper. It shows you a little bit how it will look like

Wow... It's freaky seeing my stuff drawn by other people. I feel so... emulated. :?

Also, in case anyone's wondering, the runes on his Starsword are Hylian. I forgot what it means though. *falls over*

Pretty good. He's standing kinda crooked, but it's a rough draft, so it'll slide. If you can draw a Paper Master Chief (from Halo), I'll be impressed.

Personally, I can draw alright when I have a picture or two nearby to base it off of. I once drew a nice sketch of Cell from DBZ about t blow up Buffy the Vampire Slayer with some generic energy attack. When I do it draw with nothing but a paper, pencil, and my imagination, it doesn't turn out so good. I have toruble with hands, feet and limbs in general. I also have problems drawing things the same way twice.

I dunno, Ophie. Art's been a great deal helpful to me. Learning to shade, and what not. I was a novice, but now I'm a super-novice.

Ironically, I don't think Fireworks (a graphics program made by Macromedia, who does Flash) does stuff like that. It might, I've just never tried.

It doesn't. Just Flash. But I believe you can edit the lines to make them look better. I just use curves instead. Sure they buckle but you can adjust them later.

I'm starting to get into Illustrator in school.

Awesome job Kvb. I like this "paper" yet almost "cartoon" style you and Ophie have shown.
