A flipnote stage would constantly be moving. You'd probably have several animations. of course, the base of the stage never really changes, but you could have stuff like moving mooks, fires, shit like that, which, unlike Picto chat, move. Ooh, or passthru platforms that move.

Nintenfreak mentioning N's Farewell makes me wonder the chances of getting a second Pokemon Trainer character, most likely a rival. I'm thinking N since he's the most recent and seems to be pretty popular with the fans, but I wouldn't be surprised if they went with one of the classic rivals instead. It would add some more Pokemon diversity (although I don't feel like thinking of which Pokemon the trainer would use and what movesets). It would be cool if they could think of a different transformation for Sheik, although that will probably depend on whatever goes down in Skyward Sword. Although I wouldn't be surprised if they kept Sheik and used to Ocarina of Time 3D's freshness to justify it. And I will continue to dream of Ganondorf with his own awesome moveset (and bipedial Ganon as an alternate form? Although that would be less likely and could probably turn him into a gamebreaker). I think I'm not just firing thoughts at random. For another dated thing, I wonder what they'll replace Mario's FLUDD with (the twirl from Galaxy? But that kinda has the same effect of the cape)

He already has the twirl. It's his downward spin, where he spins around like a hurricane in mid-air. Most of the time in Mario Galaxy, when you twirl, it's in mid-air anyway.

hm... I think maybe yes? That'd definitely be sweet, since if you did it like that, you could, in fact, probably get away with bringing another Pokemon back. Mewtwo, maybe.

My brain just hatched another Toon Link idea.

What if his Down+B move let him pull out a different weapon to use? He might pull out the Skull Hammer, or he could grab a Moblin Spear, a Boko Stick, a rare Darknut Sword... Too broken?

Actually that sounds like a blast, provided they all had benefits and detriments.

I second that - that's pretty good.

What are the thoughts on another story mode?

So far they went from a few cool obstacle courses in the first game, to a few fleshed-out stages in the second, to a full-length platforming adventure with dozens of stages in the third.

What next?

With the possibility of a 3DS counterpart to the game, I think an expanded Subspace Emissary type sequence on the 3DS would be excellent, since it's primarily a single player platform. On the actual Wii U, they might consider going back to a more generic adventure sequence, though it would be cool to have them slightly tailored to be more character (or franchise) specific.

Actually on that note, I'd like to see a story mode that involves more sequences that take place in settings from other games, perhaps even mishmashed together. And frankly, I'd rather see all the generic enemies made up for SSE just replaced with common baddies from different games.

That'd be one route to follow, yeah.

I know one thing, though: Subspace Emissary is going to be one tough act to follow, no matter what they do next. Somehow, though, I have faith in Sakurai's ability to pull it off.

I want a SMB 3 battle stage. On an airship. And a level based on Kid Icarus Uprising, which I still haven't played.

God knows how you're supposed to be able to play Smash Bros. with a Wii U controller.

The Wii U only connects to one of those tablets (or possibly two) and it's not the default controller for games, MotionPlus Wiimotes are. The tablet is more likely to be used in single player type games or as a unique way to enhance the game in some unique way. Or that's my understanding ot it.

Kind of a shame, I was hoping for a port of Four Swords Adventures.
