Club Nintendo is now letting you redeem points for free games. For example, I just ordered Xevious 3D.

So that's cool.

That's pretty awesome. I think I will go for Mario vs. Donkey Kong

I also discovered I have like 35 game surveys to fill in. I'll probably get platinum and not need to dig out my recent purchases.

Yeah, I am the worst at surveys. Maybe next month's offerings will motivate me.

I had some points that were about to expire earlier this year and burned them on some Kirby Patches for a friend with a Kirby obsession. Fortunately, I still had enough left over for Xevious and DK.

Xevious, btw, is actually playable in 3D. It's like a completely different game.

Definitely great that Nintendo is doing this. Between surveys and games I never got around to registering, I should have a pile of free games.

Maybe I should grab Xevious too. I considered Super Mario Kart, but my Wii is currently not playing discs, so I'm not sure if I'll need to replace it or not. And then it's a matter of seeing if I can get my VC games transferred or not.

As for Club Nintendo... I have like 20 surveys left to do. I hadn't registered my 3DS and four other games, that was a pretty big boost. I'm hoping that once these games expire in January, we'll get another cool bunch.

Xevious is a poor man's Twinbee.

And you can, mine did that too, they actually just replaced the laser, but you never know. Anyway, your club nintendo account will be linked to your Wii, so you'll be able to download anything you already owned.

From what I've been reading, VC games are linked to your console, unless you get Nintendo to transfer them. And for the price they're charging ($75) I might as well just get a replacement Wii and keep my old one around for more nefarious purposes.

I've been getting in on this. The next batch of games has freaking Majora's Mask (for Wii Virtual Console) plus Kirby's Dream Land and Dr. Mario (3DS and Wii versions). I have enough versions of Majora's Mask and Dr. Mario that I might aim for Kirby first (since that is one of my least tapped Nintendo series), and if I do wind up building more points afterwards I'll do Majora's Mask anyways. I had been thinking of getting Mario vs. Donkey Kong, but I couldn't un-laze myself enough to go through more surveys in time. I should also check when the hell my Zelda posters are getting here and probably check why I haven't gotten any surveys for my eShop games.

Don't get Mario vs. Donkey Kong, anyone after the first tastes like balls. They suck and are suck.

That was the first.

I think they're fun if you're willing to accept that they're Lemmings and not a puzzle platformer.

It's not even the game play, it's that they threw away the perfectly excellent gameplay of Mario vs. Donkey Kong/Donkey Kong 94 for... this. It's not as tight, it's not as fun, it's not as pretty, and it's not as fast paced.

Well regardless of how bad it is, it's not like I would have been paying any money for it.
