Some of the better quotes about it from other forums. Feel free to add any that you've come across. In fact, feel obligated!

Reviews of TToTT:

Smashboards.com

http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=158927&page=20

- "it doesn't even try to acknowledge that it doesn't make sense."

- "They probably made that as a joke."
- "No, they actually treat is as real."

- "See, the main difference from that and mine is that mine is that mine is a timeline, with proof and examples from games, while that is a bad fanfic."

LegendsAlliance:

http://forums.legendsalliance.com/index ... opic=11695

- "I can't believe how much sense it makes"

http://forums.legendsalliance.com/index ... =0&start=0

- "Dammit, SteveT, stop pwning us with the Triforce of Time, it's not fair."

ZeldaUniverse:

http://www.zeldauniverse.net/forums/gam ... heory.html

- "If this is true, I am no longer a fan. Of course, it's obviously fabricated by someone with no knowledge of Zelda and marginal knowledge of the English language."

- "Hey, its not MY theory! Don't blame me!!"

- "to be brutally honest, if this thread was posted in the fan fiction it would probably get bashed aswll. saying link is tingle is just outrageous and this little ficition peice should be kept in the deep recesses of the creators mind. this could destroy the zelda world as we know it"

- "It's very confusing, and sort of hard to understand."

- "Holy ****!!! I'm going to die by looking at this any longer! What in the hell, or why in the hell would this work?! Oh my head hurts by the lack of logical humane since behind this insane theory... Its worse than the Split Timeine Theory! Is that even possible? NO! It can't be! NO NO NO!!!"

http://www.zeldauniverse.net/forums/zel ... heory.html

- "I lost most respect/interest in this theory at "Link becomes his own father" and lost any remaining respect/interest at "becomes Tingle""

- "If someone's gonna put that much time into a theory, it should at least make sense. It's too bad that they wasted their time making a bogus theory."

- "A good timeline is built on facts, not pointless speculation and ridiculous claims."

- "It looks like you just made a random timeline without looking at the games, and then made up "evidence" to support it."

-"ohhhhhh…… my head hurts. it hurts so very, very much. i think it’s time to go the way of tingle *commits seppuku all over the carpet* "

-"Oh…my…god. How long do sit up at night thinking up this stuff? This is a bit… eerie, to be truthful. I don’t understand the timeline at all! Hmmm… Link always did make noises close to the tingle sounds. Oh well, maybe one day someone from Japan or something can interpret your message."

-"Wow! I’ve seen some ridiculus Timelines but this is the stupidest timeline I have ever read. This is too stupid even by my standards! "

http://www.neoseeker.com/forums/6854/t6 ... read-this/

The famous case where TToTT was plagiarized and stolen. Or was SteveT impersonating the plagiarizer all along? No one will ever know.

A collection of quotes from our would be poser, the so called missing 'corner' of the TToTT's 'three authors'.

-"Thanks, let me know if anyone wants to put this timeline on his website, also notice how Link is his own father..."

-"You can say that because you' re not obsesed with Zelda, but I am obsesed. And can't stay a second without thinking on it, and that includes the timeline."

-"I solucionate that problem in my timeline, read it, and I made a version including the newer games, here it is:" -

Yeah, that whole neoseeker ordeal was embarrassing. Zherl ripped off our timeline and posted it as his own

"Thanks, let me know if anyone wants to put this timeline on his website, also notice how Link is his own father..."

So anyway, I was blinded by rage at the blatant copyright infringement, and made a post on the site to yell at him.

Except in my blindness, I somehow used his name instead of mine. Not my best moment.

This is my favorite so far. I actually showed it to my friends one day when we were chilling around and I was showing them random stuff on the wiki... they thought it made an eerie amount of sense. and then like a year later one of them asked me to show it to another acquaintence who was a Zelda fan... I never found out what he thought of it.

- That is the worst timeline thing I've ever read. Especially the Tingle part. Seriously. A part of me died inside while reading that. That person needs to play the games again before they say bullshit. I can easily disprove lots of stuff, but am too tired.

It's ten times funnier when you click the link and read it in its original font

"There's one thing I never understood about the TToTT. Why does Zelda sleep backwards in time? I know, I know.
MAGIC!
But wouldn't it make more sense if she slept all the way around the Timeline and is the woken up a few years before her younger self is put to sleep? "

Wow, someone who actually improves the theory rather than giving us joy with their outrageous reactions!

Of course, the answer is in the same thread. (?uoy taht si, asaM)

"The shortest distance between two points is a single line. Zelda sleeps backwards in time because it takes less time to get to that point as opposed to going around the entire triangle. "

Furthermore, if she sleeps forward in time, that means she would age and be super old by the time she woke up. By sleeping backwards, we can account for her rejuvenation.

To the casual observer, it just looks like she fell asleep forever and disappeared.

The tricky part is, of course, that going backwards, it means she overslept long enough to be rediscovered before Link woke her up. I guess I never really considered that before.

I edited it into the first post, but I went ahead and created a long overdue subsite for TToTT. No more linking to Zelda Blog for it.

More LA:

"What people can think of during their free time is beyond me. "

I always hate responses like that. To anything. It basically translates to, "I have little to no imagination or creativity, and that's how I likes it! People who aren't like me are losers."

Man, those types are a bunch of losers.

i'm personlly conflicted. its like, to me, its obvious that ppl who spend hours trying to figure out how the storyline for an imaginary series of video games come together are losers. but i'm also a loser whos also a dude, and i'm more likely to critsize ppl for that.

so now i dont know what 2 believe
except that link is gay :(

This is from our current version of the TToTT

Quote:
Second Iteration

The shock of becoming his own father was too much for Link. Deciding he need to find himself, Link abandoned his family and wandered Hyrule for decades, eventually settling in the Ordana province. He became a rancher, until Zant's minions attacked his village. Enslaved by Midna, he set off to defeat Zant and restore order. As it turned out, Zant was just a pawn of Ganon, so Link fought him, too. (Twilight Princess)

In the coming months, Link's amnesia finally began to fade. Link became obsessed with fairies, slouched until his height diminished, gained a few pounds, and adopted the name “Tingle,” after the sensation he felt whenever an old memory came back to him.

He resolved to spare himself the pain and suffering that he had experienced, and chased his son, hoping to hinder his every quest with minor annoyances, such as charging too much for maps or distracting him with entertaining games like “hammer tag.”

Sometime before Link to the Past, Tingle came across the Four Sword. He used it and split into four Tingles. They remained separated and kept the Four Sword, calling themselves the Tingle brothers (Tingle, Ankle, Knuckle, and David Jr.). They toured Hyrule, annoying Link at every opportunity.

Tingle died sometime after The Adventure of Link, and his blood was used to revive Ganon, thus beginning the events of Ocarina of Time. But Tingle did not entirely die. Since he was still split into four, the Magic of the Four Sword kept his spirit alive. His ghost(s) remained in Hyrule.

What I need to add is the bits about TRR, including the all-too damning piece of evidence showing Uncle Rupee making Link into Tingle.

As it turned out, Zant was just a pawn of Ganon, so Link fought him, too. (Twilight Princess)

In the coming months, Link's amnesia finally began to fade. His height diminished and he began to slouch. He distanced himself from Hyrule and lived on the outskirts of Port Town as an outcast. He was one day invited by a mysterious demon, Uncle Rupee, to enter into the divine Rupeeland. Hoping for an escape from the world he had created, Link was transformed into a Tingle and set about the task of collecting Rupees. In the end Tingle defeated Uncle Rupee when it turned out to be a scam. However Link was never the same. Uncle Rupee's curse made it so that Tingle was immortal so long as he held Rupees, otherwise he would return to his normal self and his age would catch up to him. He also developed an obsession for fairies thanks to an infatuation with the Great Fairy, Pinkle. (Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland)

He resolved to spare himself the pain and suffering that he had experienced, and chased his son, hoping to hinder his every quest with minor annoyances, such as charging too much for maps or distracting him with entertaining games like “hammer tag.” All the while he continued to charge high prices of his son in order to stave off his own death.

Tingle's moneymaking schemes eventually failed and he died sometime after The Adventure of Link, and his blood was used to revive Ganon, thus beginning the events of Ocarina of Time. But Tingle did not entirely die. Since he was still split into four, the Magic of the Four Sword kept his spirit alive. His ghost(s) remained in Hyrule.

The only thing I don't like is the bit about his age catching up with him. It brings to mind the trope where the immortal guy loses his immortality and rapidly turns to dust (which I hate).

Besides, we've already established that he ages incredibly slowly due to Deku Tree Magic. Maybe just say it made him fully immortal?
