Ah, that would be it, yes.

See, Banktoad changes form everytime you reach a certain threshold of Star Bits. I want to get him 9999 to see what his ULTIMATE FORM is. When I reach that point, then I will go back and feed all the Hungry Lumas all in one fell swoop.

I have this fear of finishing the game too soon, so I've been saving a lot of stuff like that to do later. Like, many of the Second Stars in each world.

Man, but some of those Purple Coin challenges are diabolical, aren't they? In Clock Ruins, "The Adventure of the Purple Coins" had me holding my breath. Collecting purple coins on giant rotating clock hands? Whoooeee.

The one in the giant tree trunk was cool, though. I love anything that takes me several tries. :)

Naturally now that I've beaten Bowser I use Luigi a lot. Mario and Peachie need their time alone together. I'd hate to disturb him.

"What? There's an S-World? @#$% ME! Mama mia, all right, I'm coming... Well, Princess, I gotta go, there's still more game. I need my overalls back."

I actually just did the Clockwork Ruins challenge. Actually, I think it was the easiest of the purple coin challenges for me yet, I was able to beat it in just one go. Of course, there are still quite a few others that are consistently killing me. Also I managed to beat the second Fluzzard level (but wasn't able to earn the Comet Medal) after trying again and I agree with Vorpal's analysis of its awesomness.

Is this like an alternate "what if?" scenario or did time start over right after Mario said, "Welcome-a, new galaxy!!!" at the end of the first game?

Well Fusion, like most of Nintendo's storyline-related things, this is left up to interpretation. Either the Star Festival lasts longer than a day (since it only happens only once every hundred years and happens in BOTH Galaxy games), or very possibly the explanation is that Rosalina restarting the universe at the end of the Galaxy caused the events of Galaxy 2 to happen where Galaxy 1's events originally occurred.

Er this next part will have some spoilers for the credits ending. When Rosalina appears at the end, shee seems to introduced herself to Mario and Peach, which would meet this is the first time they met in "this" galaxy. Although at the same time, she still seems familiar with them, which would mean only she remembers Galaxy 1. Although, Rosalina's dialogue is vague enough that she could just be introducing herself to Peach, whom I don't believe she directly met in the previous game, which would mean that Mario remembers and that both games took place. And finally, Mario know has its own pair of games that belong alongside the Zelda games due to vague/confusing storylines.

Hey, Ditto. If you "get more" out of the game by forcing yourself from enjoying it, by all means upgrade that Bank Toad. I mean... that's so much more important... than... having fun.

The reason for that, GORE, is because last time Bowser destroyed the universe accidentally, and it had to be recreated, but things were different. Had to be, or Bowser would just destroy it again. So neither remembered.

Oh, I'll get to those, Vorps. Make no mistake, those hidden worlds are still on my list. I'm almost there, actually. Probaby have 9999 Star Bits after two more levels.

And I'm still having a blast, on the levels I already have opened. The way I think of it is this: Not only do I get World S, but I'm on the cusp of getting three fresh, brand-new Galaxies all at once. Ghee! :D

And you know, after seeing that ending, I was again scratching my head. But I think I have the solution, which is surprising but explains everything:

This game isn't a sequel. It's a PREQUEL. This is what happened BEFORE Mario found Star Observatory. When Rosalina appears in space, he's seeing her for the first time. And he's so stunned that he later on doesn't realize he who she is when he meets her in smaller, humbler human form later.

Whaddaya think.

I really need to rent this sometime. Granted, it does look like a carbon copy of the first game (but with more features), but I still should try it out simply for the sake of keeping up with the times. lol
