Well that thread title got away from me. Here's my list:

1. The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
2. And Then There Were Three
3. Abacab
4. A Trick of the Tail
5. Invisible Touch
6. Genesis (S/T)
7. Foxtrot
8. Duke
9. We Can't Dance
10. Selling England by the Pound

...

Oh wait. This is what I meant:

1. Shinobi III: Return of the Jedi
2. Streets of Rage 2
3. Thunderforce III
4. Sonic & Knuckles the Hedgehog 3
5. Vectorman
6. Ranger X
7. Mega Turrican
8. Phantasy Star IV
9. Shadow Dancer
10. Rocket Knight Adventures
11. Castlevania: Bloodlines
12. Splatterhouse 2
13. Ristar
14. M.U.S.H.A.
15. Pulseman

The Genesis/Megadrive isn't my America's Favorite Console, so I didn't feel the need to go above 15. And even those last couple don't even compare to probably the fifty best SNESers. And yeah, I cheated with Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, but it's hard to say that either is a complete game without the other. Most of that is pretty predictable stuff, but if you haven't played Ranger X, I urge you to find a ROM. One of the most overlooked games of our time.

All right you guys have made it pretty clear that hardly anyone cares to learn about these kind of games at all. I thought maybe the lack of interest was connected to a lack of knowledge but it doesn't look like thats the case. Maybe its too quick to judge after a week but I think this was pretty much a failure.

It's Gamehiker. No one posts much. Sorry, but that's the sad fact, unless we can get some guys drummed up.

I wasn't a SEGA kid, but I love me some Ristar and Pulseman.

All right you guys have made it pretty clear that hardly anyone cares to make lists about songs from the hit band Genesis. Maybe its too quick to judge after an hour but I think I can determine that Phil Collins is god tier along with Huey Lewis.

I played only a handful of Genesis games, about 90 percent of them being Sonic. Game Gear was my only Sega system... and not counting my brother's 360, my only non-Nintendo system in my life. Probably not something to brag about now.

I was a Nintendo kid. So yeah. I can't contribute to this thread. :(

I have yet to gather my top 15 Genesis titles, but I just wanted to say that videos do not express how fun Ranger X is. I've only cleared the first two stages, and I'm pretty terrible at it, I'll admit. Once you get a hang of the controls, the gameplay feels really fluid and dynamic--you have a jetpack which lets you fly around freely, and there are bullets flying everywhere. Well, not everywhere, but in enough places.

Gunstar Heroes wishes it were as cool as Ranger X.

That said, I'm surprised to see Vectorman so high up on Phil's Genesis list. I do need to replay it, but from what I recall, it's not interesting. Not bad, but not interesting, either--I'd expect to see Castlevania or something like that above it.

Well, here's a quick little list, with order subject to change:

Sonic 2
Space Harrier 2
Rocket Knight Adventures
Streets of Rage 2
Revenge of Shinobi
Phantasy Star IV
Socket
Pulseman

I'm hoping I can push Pulseman off that list. Looking over my cartridges, I don't know if that's possible.

Greg don't be an asshole, we both know Socket the Duckhog sucks. And I don't know if you've played Bloodlines, but it isn't very good. I mean it's on my list so I guess it's better than most Genesis games I've played, but it's in the four or five worst of the series. It's barely better than Dracula X, and we all know how I feel about that title.

Vectorman is fun and action-packed. While I hate the "variety" stages, the rest of the game feels like a Contra-style shooter with a heavier emphasis on platforming. Ranger X is probably better but I haven't played all the way through it so it seems unfair to say.

And did you play any of the Turrican games yet? You really need to.
