There's a trailer out for the sequel series to Avatar: The Last Airbender

Also, screw you, Jame Cameron, and your trade-marking stealing smurf fest.

I saw, and I'm very down with it. I will also never watch that James Cameron movie. I'm actually a bit confused since I thought Korra was actually related to Aang and Katara, but this doesn't seem the case.

Also there are designs/descriptions for some of the other characters. Tenzin looks like the awesomely appropriate song of Aang. Plus, Toph's daughter is the metal-bending chief of police. In another awesome sentence, they have stated that for the soundtrack they decided to explore what it would sound like if the Chinese had invented jazz.

I had a very weird dream about the Airbender franchise recently. I dreamed that during the final battles of Aang Vs. Ozai and Katara & Zuko Vs. Azula, it was revealed that Ozai and Azula were possessed by the spirits of Dimentio and Kefka Palazzo respectively, which pretty much explained Ozai's megalomania and Azula's sudden mental breakdown.

I saw the first two episodes. At first, the steampunk setting and jump in technology bothered me. Granted, in the original series, firebenders had some advanced technology, but it was all large-scale war machines powered by firebending rather than things like cars or radios. The original series was overall pre-industrial, and I didn't really see much indication of an industrial revolution, even if the Fire Nation was willing to share.

Then it hit me: Toph invented and spread metalbending. Between metalbending and firebending, suddenly steam technology and manufacturing was simple. A sudden jump in technology really does fit the setting. Nice bit of Fridge Logic there.

Yeah, there's ways of making sense of it. Very great stuff regardless. And lol at my first impressions of the series, now that I'm much more hardcore into the series.

I'm loving the series so far. Honestly, Aang and Katara were pretty weak as protagonists as far as I was concerned, which meant that their epic arc wasn't resolved soon enough and it dragged on for forever. I'm not liking this Makorra shit, but maybe it won't be so shracking bad this time. I also wasn't a huge fan of Book 1 of Last Airbender, since it really hadn't grown its beard, but this one basically picks up, in terms of tone, where the last one left off.

I hate that Sokka's dead though. I really wanted to see him running around.

Pretty solid so far. Lacks the "adventure" feel of the first, but given that there's four books that's probably on it's way.
